Gunfire erupts at Tacony pool hall

A man suffered at least six wounds of the chest, arms and legs during a Sept. 6 shooting at a Tacony pool hall, but he has survived the attack, Philadelphia police say.

The gunfire occurred at about 10:20 p.m. at 6201 Keystone St., said Officer Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman.

Police found the victim, 23, in the doorway of the pool hall. He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical but stable condition. Authorities have not released his identity. A report on his condition early this week has not been released.

Investigators have not indicated a suspected motive for the shooting, but believe that the unknown gunman was black, 25 to 30 years old, standing between 6 feet and 6-foot-2, with a medium build. He wore a gray hoodie and tan pants and fled the scene in a dark car driven by another unknown person.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Northeast Detectives at 215–686–3153. ••
