Ryan Frain, a Parkwood resident and Archbishop Ryan High School graduate, recently had his Temple University ice hockey jersey retired.

Frain, a forward who wore №8, played from the 2006–07 season through 2010–11. He is the program’s all-time leader in goals (109), assists (116) and points (225).

The ceremony took place at the Cavity Busters Flyers Skate Zone, at 10990 Decatur Road, before a game against William Paterson (N.J.).

Frain helped lead the Owls to the American College Hockey Association Division II championship tournament in San Jose, Calif., as a senior. He is now an assistant coach. ••
