Local school needs your help to score new computers

The Anne Frank Elementary School faculty and staff are trying once again to win new computers for students.

Anyone who wants to help the school get $50,000 for some new high-tech gear just has to go to a Clorox Web site to vote for Anne Frank. The Bustleton school just missed last year in getting the online votes needed to win a $10,000 Pepsi Refresh Everything Grant, but staffers are keen to try again for an even bigger prize this year.

To vote for the school, go to https://powerabrightfuture.clorox.com/ and follow the instructions.

“We wanted to apply for the same grant this year, but we found out that Pepsi is no longer running the Refresh Everything Grant,” said Mike Tauber, school counselor. “In our search for new and creative ways to improve our school, we found that Clorox was running a similar type grant program that we could apply for.”

So, Anne Frank is going after that grant. There’s a need, Tauber said.

“Many of our current computers are no longer working, and most of them are unable to support the educational software that we use for the students,” he said.

Voting began Monday and ends Dec. 12.

Tauber said Anne Frank’s supporters may log into the Clorox Web site or text in votes. To text send PABF0858 to 95248, Tauber said. ••
