Congresswoman’s office moves to Rhawnhurst

U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz last week moved her Northeast office from Mayfair to Rhawnhurst.

Schwartz (D-13th dist.) made the move because, in last year’s redistricting, fellow Rep. Bob Brady (D-1st dist.) took all of her territory east of Frankford Avenue in Port Richmond, Bridesburg, Wissinoming, Tacony, Holmesburg and East Torresdale.

The address of the congresswoman’s new office is 7712 Castor Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19152. It is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The telephone number is 215–335–3355. The fax number is 215–333–4508.

The address of Schwartz’s other office is 801 Old York Road, Suite 212, Jenkintown, PA 19046. It, too, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 215–517–6572. The fax number is 215–517–6575.

Schwartz’s former office was at 7219 Frankord Ave. Her move ends a long tradition of local members of the U.S. House having their offices on that stretch of the avenue. Reps. Bob Borski and Joe Hoeffel also had their offices on the strip.

Brady’s offices are in Chester, South Philadelphia, 2630 Memphis St. in Kensington (215–426–4616) and 2637 E. Clearfield St. in Port Richmond (267–519–2252).

Both of Pennsylvania’s U.S. senators, Bob Casey Jr. and Pat Toomey, have offices in Center City.

Casey’s office is at 2000 Market St., Suite 1870. The phone number is 215–405–9660.

Toomey’s office is at 1628 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 1702. The phone number is 215–241–1090. ••
