Philadelphia police seek the public’s help in identifying the culprits, one of whom was captured on surveillance video inside a Trevose Wawa store shortly after the theft.

Police didn’t specify what time the theft occurred at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Middletown Township. The victim had left her car parked and unattended. When she returned to her car, she discovered that someone had broken into it and stolen her purse.

A short time later, a woman suspect showed up at the Wawa, 2250 Lincoln Highway, and allegedly used the victim’s credit card to buy items. Surveillance cameras filmed the suspect inside the store and in the parking lot as she approached a car, handed a bag of goods to someone inside the car, and walked out of the frame.

The vehicle was a silver, gray or beige, four-door, late-model sedan, possibly a 1990s Chevy Lumina. It had a dent on the passenger side above the front wheel, as well as paint damage near the rear bumper on the passenger side.

The suspect in the video was a white woman with dark hair and wearing a black Nike knit hat, a black Adidas hooded sweat shirt and black Aero pants.

The same woman used the stolen credit card at Franklin Mills, 1455 Franklin Mills Circle, also on Feb. 26.
