Bustleton bank robber sought

Authorities are trying to identify a gunman who robbed a Bustleton bank last Thursday.

The heist occurred at Sovereign Bank, 9200 Roosevelt Blvd., at about 1:30 p.m. when the crook entered the bank, showed a black semiautomatic handgun to a teller and demanded money, according to the FBI. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber was described as black, in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and slim. He wore all-dark clothing, including a baseball cap, sunglasses and a Nike jacket or sweatshirt with a white zipper in the front and a “swoosh” logo on the left chest. He is considered armed and dangerous.
