PECO customers have recycled more than 35,000 energy-guzzling refrigerators and freezers through PECO Smart Appliance Recycling, helping the state of Pennsylvania reach a total of 200,000 recycled appliances during the last five years, the utility announced recently
The recycling of older, inefficient appliances supports efforts to help reduce customer electric usage across the state.
By recycling 200,000 appliances, customers have reduced their annual energy usage by about 200 million kilowatt-hours.
