Armed gunmen rob Dunkin’ Donuts

Surveillance photo

A man walked into a Lower Northeast Dunkin’ Donuts last month wearing a white surgical mask, but it wasn’t because he’s a germophobe. He and an accomplice each had guns and robbed the shop.

The hold-up occurred on Jan. 21 at 813 Adams Ave. The crooks burst into the business at about 2:13 p.m. with pistols drawn. One of the gunmen held an employee at bay while another pulled out a plastic bag and demanded money from the cash register.

Moments later, the second robber forced the manager to a rear office where he stole a bank deposit bag and cash from a safe. The crooks then exited the shop through a rear door, fleeing in an unknown direction.

The guy with the surgical mask was described as black, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 240 to 250 pounds. He has a light complexion and also wore a black zip-up hoodie, along with blue jeans. The second crook was described as black, about 6 feet tall and thin with a light complexion, a knit mask over his face, a black hoodie and black pants.
