Girl flees abduction attempt in Frankford

A 12-year-old Frankford girl escaped what may have been an abduction attempt near a neighborhood El station on March 4.

The victim was walking along Margaret Street toward the Margaret-Orthodox Station at about 3:10 p.m. when an unknown man driving a black SUV pulled alongside her and asked if she wanted a ride home. As the girl continued to walk, the man followed her, offering her a ride and asking how old she is, police said. The girl ran home and told her grandfather about the incident.

The offender was described as black, in his 30s or 40s and bald with dark skin and a clean shaven face. The vehicle was described as a black SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPDTIP to report information. ••
