St. Jerome School in Holme Circle received a $10,000 Partners in Education Grant from The Hamels Foundation on May 30 to furnish and supply a STEM Lab for St. Jerome’s.

STEM refers to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The interdisciplinary approach to education shows students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It helps students master today’s curriculum while focusing on innovation, problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork and leadership. The STEM Lab will open at St. Jerome’s next September and be a center for collaboration that houses resources for students and teachers, such as science equipment, math manipulatives, engineering construction sets and technology devices. ull;•
