Promoting peace in the Northeast

Healthy living: District Attorney Seth Williams led a contingent of city prosecutors who joined police officers and Northeast community leaders in a Ride for Peace on Saturday morning. The bicycle tour highlighted the 2nd Police District Advisory Council’s annual Community Day at Target, Bustleton and Bleigh avenues. The cyclists rode 12 miles through portions of Castor Gardens, Oxford Circle, Summerdale, Crescentville and Lawndale with an escort of police vehicles in an effort to promote healthy, nonviolent activities. The route passed several locations of recent gun violence in the 2nd Police District. Other participants included Capt.
