Stabbing victim says he doesn’t remember details

Detectives really want to figure out how a 31-year-old man got stabbed near a Holmesburg Wawa on June 24, but it’s kind of hard when the victim doesn’t even know how it happened.

Police inherited that conundrum on June 24 after a bleeding man walked into the convenience store at 7715 Frankford Ave. at about 1:10 a.m. Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum of Northeast Detectives said that the victim initially reported that he argued with another unknown man in the parking lot and that the other guy punched him in the chest. He said he never saw a weapon and didn’t notice the blood right away.

The victim suffered two non-life-threatening wounds and was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus. Investigators found no evidence of a fight in the area. Later, the victim told police that he couldn’t remember where the fight had occurred. ••
