A credulous gym patron had to find an alternate way home from the workout facility several weeks ago after a thief stole the person’s car keys from an unsecured rack near the front desk.
On Monday, police released surveillance video of the suspect in an attempt to generate new leads on the unsolved case.
The theft happened at Planet Fitness, 9950 Roosevelt Blvd., on June 22. Shortly before 3 p.m., the suspect arrived at the gym, took a key from the rack, returned to the parking lot and stole the victim’s car. The thief was described as a man of unknown race with a light complexion, thin build, beard, a white T-shirt, dark shorts and black sneakers.
