A smooth ride: More than 700 SEPTA employees and their families participated in the city’s spring cleanup. Locally, state Rep. Jason Dawkins was among the volunteers who worked in the community surrounding Frankford Transportation Center. In all, volunteers used brooms, shovels, rakes and trash bags to clean 14 locations throughout the SEPTA system. SEPTA General Manager Jeffrey Knueppel took part, along with about 200 City Year Corps members. This was the ninth year SEPTA employees participated in the citywide cleanup.
