A Philadelphia man was sentenced on Thursday to nine years in federal prison after pleading guilty last year to downloading child pornography in 2013 and ’14.

According to the U.S. Attorney, Tony Myers, 30, uploaded five Dropbox files that contained child porn on April 26, 2013. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported the suspicious activity to Homeland Security Investigations in May that year. Agents searched Myers’ residence on April 2, 2014, and seized 16 forms of electronic media containing about 500 images and 50 videos of child porn.

He pleaded guilty last Sept. 21 to two counts of receiving child porn and one count of possessing child porn. U.S. District Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg sentenced him to 108 months in prison, 20 years of supervised release and $5,000 restitution. ••
