Two unidentified men used intimidation to rob a cell phone store in Crescentville on Aug. 26, police say. Shortly before 4 p.m., the lead thug entered the Metro PCS store at 721 Adams Ave. while his partner stood outside guarding the door. The inside man went behind a sales counter and approached a 22-year-old woman clerk.

The victim told the man to leave the restricted area, but he placed his hand in his pocket to suggest he had a concealed weapon. He also threatened the clerk and demanded that she open the store’s safe.

After the employee gave the lead robber money from a cash register, he fled the store with his lookout man. They were last seen heading south on the 5300 block of Howland St.

The inside man was described as Hispanic, 20 years old, 5-feet-8, thin, with a brown complexion, beard, tattoos on both arms, a black shirt with a Polo logo, tan camouflage shorts and white sneakers. The lookout was described as Hispanic, 20, with short hair, tattoos on both arms and hands, a white tank top, a red shirt with black stripes, jeans shorts and red sneakers.
