Police search for Tacony bank robber

A man wearing white sunglasses and a black shirt with bright green printing on the front robbed a Tacony credit union branch on Monday afternoon, according to police.

The heist occurred at the Freedom Credit Union, 4900 Princeton Ave., just before 4 p.m. when the suspect approached a teller and displayed a threatening demand note, police said. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber fled in an unknown direction. He was described as black with a dark complexion, in his mid-40s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build. He wore a dark shirt with neon green writing on the front, along with a gray long-sleeve shirt draped over his shoulders, blue jeans and white-framed sunglasses.
