A Far Northeast resident was honored for earning 33 Eagle Scout merit badges.
An Eagle Scout honor: Far Northeast resident James F. Lanigan was presented with a City Council citation from Councilman Brian O’Neill at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. O’Neill mentioned that Lanigan earned 33 merit badges. Lanigan’s Eagle Scout project required him to paint 12 doors (inside and out) at Living Word Lutheran Church in Roslyn. The task took three days, and Lanigan received help from six other Scouts. Lanigan has worked in maintenance the last two summers at Ockanickon Scout Reservation in Bucks County. He and O’Neill are pictured with his parents, James J. and Theresa Lanigan.
