The Northeast Times would like to congratulate the following college graduates, students who were named to their school’s dean’s list, and area residents who recently received special honors.

Ashley Marie Hassett earned a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Memphis.

Widener University has announced the undergraduate students who achieved dean’s list status. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher to qualify for this status.

A total of 418 Mansfield University students have been named to the dean’s list. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must attend the university full time and earn at least a 3.5 GPA. The following area students earned the honor: Alyssa Denofa and Ericka Dudley.

Michael Ademola has been named to the Central Penn College dean’s list. Ademola is majoring in corporate communications. To qualify for the designation, a student must carry six or more credits and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the term.

Allicia J. George made the dean’s list at SUNY Canton (New York). George is a criminal investigation major. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who have earned a GPA between 3.25 and 3.74.

Immaculata University released the names of students who made the dean’s list. To attain dean’s list status, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 on a scale of 4.0. Area students who made the list are Olivia Carter (’18), Brendan Hanagan (’19), Allie Tracey (’18), Jared Viz (’19), Mary Kate Walsh (’18), Jacquelyn Nava (’19), Gina Cocci (’18), Emily Savage (’18), Sarah Benson (’21), Elizabeth Lipscomb (’21), Caitlin MacGregor (’18), Emily Cox (’21), Emily Gardyasz (’19) and Madison McGrogan (’21).

Lehigh University’s David Tapia has earned dean’s list status, which is awarded to students who have a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Shippensburg University freshman Shannen DeLaurentis has made the dean’s list with a 3.76 grade point average. She is an education major.

Rose Pisacano is a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (New York) women’s swimming and diving team that captured the first Liberty League championship in program history. The Engineers, who are coached by Shannon O’Brien, won the title in dramatic fashion, defeating the host school, Ithaca College, by only 50 points.

Vanessa Forgrave served on the painting crew as part of Cedar Crest College’s recent production of the musical comedy Sister Act, based on the hit 1992 film. ••
