The Northeast Times would like to congratulate the following college graduates, students who were named to their school’s dean’s list, and area residents who recently received special honors.

Wheaton College (Illinois) student Julia Peterman was named to the dean’s list. To earn dean’s list honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Collin Wiercinski was named to the Merrimack College (Massachusetts) dean’s list.

Asia Mosee earned a degree in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech. Mosee was among approximately 3,100 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 254th commencement exercises.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Ona Hoxha has been named to its dean’s list.

Joe Pisacano is a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (New York) men’s track and field team.

Six local students have been named to Alvernia University’s dean’s dist. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits. Local honorees are Remi Adekanbi, a World Communications Charter School graduate studying healthcare science; Kirstin Gonzaga, an Archbishop Ryan High School graduate studying marketing; Victoria Gowland, a Little Flower graduate studying occupational therapy; Amanda Krier, a New Foundations Charter School graduate studying early childhood education with special education; Maria Mitchell, a Northeast graduate studying behavioral health; and Anraghie Williams, a junior healthcare science major.

Springfield College (Massachusetts) has named Kristian Rhim to the dean’s list for academic excellence. Rhim is studying communication/sport journalism. Students on the dean’s list must have a minimum semester GPA of 3.500.

Mount St. Mary’s University announced that 635 students earned dean’s list honors, including Mary Gould and Donna Szajdek.

Ithaca College congratulates the following local students named to the dean’s list: Alexzandria Sanchez (journalism major), Oluwasekemi Odumosu (physics) and Akshan Shah (politics).

Andrea Abdale was named to the dean’s list at Cedar Crest College in Allentown. To make the dean’s list, a student must have a GPA of 3.650 while taking at least 12 credits.

More than 1,600 students were named to The University of Scranton’s dean’s list. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better to make the dean’s list. Local students are Brigid McMullen, a sophomore occupational therapy major; Jared Keenan, a freshman marketing major; Stas Postowski, a sophomore marketing major; and Phoebe Thomas, a sophomore marketing major.

Racquel Hafiz has been selected as a W.W. Smith Scholar at Delaware Valley University.

Christian Matico made the University of Dayton’s dean’s list, which honors undergraduate students achieving a minimum 3.5 GPA.

The University of Delaware released its dean’s list. To meet eligibility requirements, a student must be enrolled full time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale). Local honorees are Rebecca Fruehwald, Nhu Nguyen, Tara O’Brien, Madelynn Corcoran, Tara Cohen, Perri Keehfuss of Philadelphia, Emily Jardel, Joseph Meehan, Jessica Loughery and Katelynn Emore. ••
