Pets of the week: June 6, 2018

Betty and Patches are looking for homes.

Betty is a sweet pit bull mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 60 pounds.

The dog was found as a stray with an eye injury. She is all healed up and ready for a home of her own She loves people and enjoys toys and going for walks. Due to the limited sight in her remaining eye, she would do best in an adult-only home where she is the only pet.

To meet Betty, email noahsarkrescueps@yahoo.com ••

Patches is a sweet, adorable cat who is extremely shy at first. Once she is comfortable, she is all over you, following you around and talking to you but she will hide when company comes.

Patches, who is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue, enjoys running and playing with the other cats in her foster home. She is great with other cats as long as they are not rough.

She likes to jumps on up her foster mom’s lap to talk to her and to be petted before curling up on her to nap. Every night, she falls asleep curled up next to her foster mom in bed. She will do best in a quiet home.

Patches, 3, is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
