Ryan alums headed to North Wildwood
The annual Archbishop Ryan High School shore reunion will take place on Saturday, July 28, from 5 to 10 p.m. at The Inlet on Olde (formerly Westy’s), 101 E. Walnut Ave., in North Wildwood, New Jersey.
Tickets cost $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
There will be drink specials and a complimentary buffet, along with free draft beer from 5 to 8 p.m.

Medicare seminar on Monday

The Thomas A. Edison High School Alumni & Friends Association will meet for lunch on Wednesday, July 11, at Pub 2900, 2900 Street Road in Bensalem.

Movies and discussion at KleinLife
KleinLife, 10100 Jamison Ave., will begin its Lifelong Learning summer special film series on Tuesday, July 10. The public is invited to participate with members.
The movies will be followed by discussions led by Moylan Mills, professor emeritus of integrative arts at Penn State.
The series kicks off on July 10 with Bombshell: The Hedy LaMarr Story and will be followed by A Late Quartet on July 17. Mostly Martha will be shown of Aug. 7, and the summer series will conclude on Aug. 14 with Gloomy Sunday.
Cost for the complete series is $45 per person. Individual movies will cost $13.

Early childhood education class available
Harcum College of Bryn Mawr is recruiting for its August class in early childhood education at its Grace-Trinity site, 5200 Oxford Ave.
Harcum, which has a partnership site with Grace Neighborhood Development Corporation, offers an accelerated associate degree program.
Classes are held twice a week from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
In one year, a student registered at this Harcum partnership site can complete up to eight courses. Harcum’s program in early childhood education is recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Applicants must have a high school diploma or a state-approved high school equivalency diploma. Harcum also accepts transfer students who already have taken college-level courses in another institution.
Students are eligible for financial aid as well as Harcum community-based scholarships. Prior to admission, students have to complete a placement test in math and English.

Raiders holding football camp
Archbishop Ryan will hold its annual football camp at the school for players ages 6 to 14. The camp runs from July 9 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the cost is $100 per player.

Music and drama camp
Crescentville United Methodist Church, 412 E. Sentner St., will hold its annual music and drama camp from July 15–20, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The camp is for kids in kindergarten (must be 5 by Sept. 1) through recent eighth-grade graduates.
Participants will learn and perform a children’s musical. The camp will feature Bible stories, T-shirts, crafts, songs and snacks. The cost is $5.

The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging’s Heatline will be activated through Wednesday, July 4.
The telephone number is 215–765–9040. Trained staff will answer the phone until midnight on Tuesday, July 3, and Wednesday, July 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The city Department of Public Health has declared a heat health emergency, and PCA officials can recommend air-conditioned locations. Health department nurses are assigned to go to PCA to address calls that indicate a serious health issue.
The line is open to callers of all ages, and questions and concerns can be reported about family members or neighbors. ••
Concert to be held July 12 at PPH
The Belairs Doo Wop, featuring Dennis Gillen, will be in concert on Thursday, July 12, at 7 p.m. at the Philadelphia Protestant Home social hall, 6500 Tabor Ave.
The Josh Hoey Orchestra will play on Aug. 9.

Remembering Cpl. Loudenslager
Cpl. John Loudenslager American Legion Post 366 will hold a remembrance ceremony for Cpl. John Loudenslager on the 100-year anniversary of his death. The ceremony will take place on Monday, July 16, at 6 p.m. at Lions Park, 7976 Oxford Ave. The event will take place rain or shine. Refreshments will follow.
Loudenslager was 19 when he was killed in World War I on July 16, 1918.
