Six students from MaST Community Charter School graduated May 4 with associate degrees from the Community College of Philadelphia — more than a month before their high school graduation.

Seniors Nadeen Al-Saleem, Gilbert Drutsky, Marta Gorstka, William Hartner, Shiv Patel and Sara Wolfenden participated in a dual enrollment program with CCP. Starting in their sophomore year, they took a combination of college-level courses and high school classes.

Each will be able to enter college with a high school diploma, associate degree and 60 college credits.

The six students are the second group from MaST to receive degrees from CCP as part of the collaborative program, which was created in 2015. ••
