Crime Log: Dec. 9-22, 2019

As reported by Northeast Detectives. Does not include homicides, sexual assaults, narcotics offenses or other specific crimes investigated by special police units. All locations listed by block, not by exact address.

2nd Police District

There were 13 robberies. Jamil Rodriguez, 27, was arrested Dec. 18 following a robbery involving a handgun on the street at 600 Unruh Ave. Robberies on the street involving handguns happened at 900 Pratt St. (Dec. 13), twice at 1000 Longshore Ave. (Dec. 17 and 22) and 6900 Horrocks St. (Dec. 21); a robbery with a knife happened at 7200 Castor Ave. (Dec. 9); and robberies with no weapons happened at 700 Foulkrod St. (Dec. 10), 6800 Kindred St. (Dec. 13), the intersection of Castor and Unruh avenues (Dec. 16) and 1300 Friendship St. (Dec. 16). Other robberies took place at chain stores at 5700 Oxford Ave. (Dec. 12) and 7200 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 16) both involving handguns, and a vehicle parked at 7200 Souder St. (Dec. 12) involving a handgun.

There were 10 aggravated assaults that resulted in five arrests. Domestic assaults took place at private residences at 1400 Stirling St. (Dec. 22, Francis McGonigle, 46), 500 Adams Ave. (Dec. 12, Ubalda Butler, 25), 500 E. Godfrey Ave. (Dec. 20, Nicole Gonzalez, 27), 1400 Higbee St. (Dec. 21, Jerome Hudson, 19) and 1200 Wellington St. (Dec. 13, Robert Nace, 57). Other assaults took place on the street at 600 Robbins St. (Dec. 18) that involved a handgun, 5500 Summerdale Ave. (Dec. 10), 6400 Horrocks St. (Dec. 12), 7200 Large St. (Dec. 13) and 1200 Disston St. (Dec. 22).

There were 16 burglaries. Walter Brown, 63, was arrested Dec. 12 following an incident at a private residence at 6200 Summerdale Ave., and Yasin Muhammad, 23, was arrested Dec. 15 following the burglary of an office building at 6700 Rising Sun Ave. Private residences were burglarized at 6700 Martins Mill Road (Dec. 20), 5900 Elsinore St. (Dec. 18), 700 Glenview St. (Dec. 10), 900 Unruh Ave. (Dec. 12), 2300 Shelmire Ave. (Dec. 16), 600 Benner St. (Dec. 16) and 200 Comly St. (Dec. 11). Apartment houses were burglarized at 1700 Lansing St. (Dec. 10), 7400 Whitaker Ave. (Dec. 13), 900 Faunce St. (Dec. 19) and 6700 Martins Mill Road (Dec. 19). Other burglaries took place at a cleaners/Laundromat at 6000 Castor Ave. (Dec. 14), a storage facility at 6200 Oxford Ave. (Dec. 14) and a video store at 7200 Rising Sun Ave. (Dec. 11).

There were 96 thefts, which targeted 47 businesses, 33 vehicles (including seven stolen vehicle tags), 11 street thefts, three private residences, a public school and a bicycle. Ten arrests were made.

7th Police District

A drug store at 10900 Bustleton Ave. was robbed with a handgun on Dec. 11.

The five aggravated assaults resulted in three arrests. David Lindenbaum, 33, was arrested Dec. 18 following an assault at a private residence at 15100 Endicott St., Erik Zbikowski, 40, was arrested Dec. 15 following an assault at a private residence at 11700 Stevens Road, and Jokhongir Kholboev, 28, was arrested Dec. 21 following a domestic assault at a private residence at 1900 Nester Place. Other assaults happened on the street at 500 Arnold St. involving a handgun (Dec. 15) and at an apartment house at 8200 Algon Ave. (Dec. 10).

A private residence at 100 County Line Road was burglarized Dec. 16.

There were 30 thefts, which targeted 16 businesses, seven vehicles (including a stolen vehicle tag), two street thefts, a public school, a private school, an apartment house, a doctor’s office and an unlisted location. Four arrests were made.

8th Police District

There were six robberies. Sharif Brockman, 22, was arrested Dec. 17 following an incident on the street at 8400 Ditman St., and Troy Senge, 33, was arrested Dec. 13 following a purse snatching at a retail location at 8000 Frankford Ave. Robberies took place on the street at 500 Franklin Mills Circle (Dec. 13) with a handgun, twice at 300 Franklin Mills Circle (Dec. 14) and at an apartment house at 8800 Cottage St. (Dec. 19) with a handgun.

There were five aggravated assaults. Thomas Rogalski, 51, was arrested Dec. 14 following an assault at a hospital at 2600 Holme Ave., and Abdenour Rekik, 38, was arrested Dec. 14 following a domestic assault at an apartment house at 3600 Red Lion Road. Other assaults happened on the street at 4600 Kendrick St. (Dec. 18) with a handgun, at a prison facility at 8100 State Road (Dec. 12) with a knife and a domestic assault at an apartment house at 10800 Keswick Road (Dec. 17).

Burglaries took place at a private residence at 8300 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 22), an apartment house at 4400 Kendrick St. (Dec. 13) and an attempt at a private residence at 10800 Ellicott Road (Dec. 17).

There were 55 thefts, which targeted 20 businesses, 16 vehicles (including a stolen car phone), 11 street thefts, three apartment houses, a private residence, a doctor’s office, a nursing/retirement home and two unlisted locations. Six arrests were made. In addition, seven vehicles were stolen, and three were recovered. One arrest was made.

15th Police District

There were 16 robberies. Miguel Miller, 39, was arrested Dec. 20 after a robbery at a drugstore at 5200 Torresdale Ave., and Michael Riffert, 49, was arrested Dec. 20 following the robbery of a private residence at 3500 Bleigh Ave. Robberies on the street happened at 3300 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 10), 5300 Castor Ave. (Dec. 23), 6700 Keystone St. (Dec. 14) and 5000 Bleigh Ave. (Dec. 21), all of which involved handguns; 5200 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 15), which involved a knife; 4300 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 22), which involved a weapon; 6700 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 10), 3900 Roosevelt Blvd. (Dec. 15), 4900 Princeton Ave. (Dec. 16), which did not involve weapons; and a purse snatching at 1500 Arrott St. (Dec. 19). Other robberies happened at a food store at 3300 Tyson Ave. (Dec. 18), an apartment house at 4700 Leiper St. (Dec. 12), a mini market at 7200 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 22) and an unlisted location at 7300 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 17).

There were 25 aggravated assaults, which yielded nine arrests. Assaults on the street involving handguns happened at 7300 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 11), 3100 Wellington St. (Dec. 13, Noreen Lyons, 45), 2200 Larue St. (Dec. 13), twice at 7300 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 14, Angel Ortiz, 47), 2800 Cottman Ave. (Dec. 14, Tyron O. Largaespada, 31), 4100 Greeby St. (Dec. 15, Lamar L. Benton, 35), three times at 6800 Vandike St. (Dec. 20), 4000 E. Cheltenham Ave. (Dec. 20), 4200 Decatur St. (Dec. 21), twice at 4200 Hartel Ave. (Dec. 21) and 5900 Tacony St. (Dec. 22, Steven Garcia, 41). Assaults on the street involving knives happened at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Sellers Street (Dec. 13), 4600 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 21) and 5300 Frankford Ave. (Dec. 22), and domestic assaults on the street happened at 7200 Ditman St. (Dec. 18, Edwin Vazquez, 41) and 4100 Paul St. (Dec. 19). Other assaults took place at private residences at 2000 Carver St. (Dec. 10, Joel Medina, 23), 1500 Deal St. (Dec. 10) and 4500 Teesdale St. (Dec. 11, Andre Jackson, 25) and at rooming houses/shelters at 1600 Dyre St. (Dec. 10, Antonio Belen, 54) and 5800 Keystone St. (Dec. 9). 

There were 11 burglaries and one attempt. Incidents at private residences happened at 2000 Carver St. (Dec. 13), 4600 Marple St. (Dec. 21), 6000 Walker St. (Dec. 9), 7000 Glenloch St. (Dec. 19), 4700 Hawthorne St. (Dec. 20), 2200 Larue St. (Dec. 9) and 5400 Horrocks St. (Dec. 16) as well as an attempt at 3000 Guilford St. (Dec. 16). Others took place at an apartment house at 4700 Tacony St. (Dec. 19), a food store at 5200 Torresdale Ave. (Dec. 21), on the street at 5700 Tulip St. (Dec. 15) and an unlisted location at 4500 Sheffield Ave. (Dec. 14). 

There were 87 thefts, which targeted, 33 vehicles (including two stolen car phones and five stolen vehicle tags), 24 street thefts, 19 businesses, seven private residences, a public school, a bank, a bicycle and an unlisted location. Thirteen arrests were made.
