SUNY Morrisville announced that business administration major Eric Melso was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve a 3.0 to 3.99 grade-point average for the semester and complete 12 credit hours. ••

Kutztown University will have 21 student-athletes representing its softball program for the 2020 season, including Katelyn Ostaszewski, an Archbishop Ryan graduate. KU will next hit the diamond for its spring break trip beginning March 7, against Winston-Salem State in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. ••

Helen Li was named to the dean’s list at Tufts University (Massachusetts) for the fall 2019 semester. Dean’s list honors at Tufts require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater. ••

Cedar Crest College named students to its dean’s list for the fall semester of 2019. The dean’s list recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher. Local members of the dean’s list are Andrea Abdale, Sierra Lockhart and Jennica Nugent. ••

Xiane Goda was among 10 students from the Bloomsburg University Department of Biological and Allied Health Sciences who attended the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey Primary Care Day. The annual event introduces students to primary care medicine and its specialties, internal medicine, pediatrics and family medicine. In addition to listening to keynote speaker panels on medical school admissions, students had the opportunity to observe a delivery simulation and musculoskeletal and newborn exams. Workshops were held on suturing, vital signs and ultrasound imaging. ••

Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition. Local members of the dean’s list are Rikley Costa Paixao, a psychology major in the class of 2021, and Barb Thiel, a theater major in the class of 2020. ••

Matthew Leahy, Class of 2021, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester at the University of Vermont. Leahy is a history major. To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class. ••

Lebanon Valley College has more than 700 students on its dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Local members of the dean’s list are Alexis Morace, a Villa Joseph Marie graduate who is pursuing a degree in exercise science, and Caitlyn Berdel, a St. Hubert graduate who received a degree in early childhood education and special education. ••

Seven local students have been named to Alvernia University’s dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits. Local members of the dean’s list are Maria Checchia, a MaST Community Charter School graduate studying behavioral health; Jackson Fonseca-Webb, a Roman Catholic graduate studying accounting; Kira Griffenberg, a MaST graduate studying forensic science; John Handley, a Roman graduate studying health care science; Navdeep Kaur, an Abraham Lincoln graduate studying social work; Raven Metas, a St. Hubert graduate studying communication; and Felicia Wulf, a Benjamin Franklin graduate studying behavioral health. ••
