Congratulations to these Northeast Philly scholars

Gabriela Draganova graduated cum laude with a BS in luxury brand marketing and management as Susquehanna University closed its 162nd academic year. Draganova graduated from George Washington High School.

Alvernia University announced its registered student organization leaders for the 2020-2021 academic year. John Handley, a Roman Catholic High School graduate, earned the status of vice president with the university’s Student Government Association. Handley is studying health care science.

Juliana Caranci was among more than 500 students in the Moravian College Class of 2020. A ceremony is planned for Oct. 24 on Moravian’s Main Street campus.

Alexzandria Sanchez graduated from Ithaca College with a BA in journalism.

Morgan J. Wolf, a nursing major, has been named to the president’s list at Clemson University for the spring semester. To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all A’s) grade-point average.

Coastal Carolina University saw nearly 1,300 students graduate. Among them were Erin Golden, a finance major, and Carly McGee, a communication major.

Susquehanna University announced its dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours. Local members of the dean’s list are Gabriela Draganova, a luxury brand marketing & management major in the Class of 2020 and a graduate of George Washington High School; HaoJun Zhen, a biology major in the Class of 2020 and a graduate of Central; Norieli Jimenez, a global management and Spanish studies major in the Class of 2020 and a graduate of Olney; Meghan Davis, a psychology and creative writing major in the Class of 2022 and a graduate of Abraham Lincoln; and Marie Dignam, a music major in the Class of 2023 and a graduate of Nazareth Academy.

The University of Rhode Island announced its spring 2020 dean’s list. To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Among members of the dean’s list is Maureen Kennedy.

Ithaca College student Akshan Shah was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester. Shah is a Politics: Sociology major.

HaoJun Zhen graduated with a BS in Biology as Susquehanna University closed its 162nd academic year. There is a formal, in-person commencement ceremony scheduled for August. ••
