Ascension Mar Thoma Church, 10197 Northeast Ave., gave away more than 200 Thanksgiving turkeys on Saturday morning.
State Sen. John Sabatina Jr. presented the first turkey to Helaine Da-Cruz Heggs, of Center in the Park, 5818 Germantown Ave.
Sabatina joined church members in handing turkeys to people as they drove through the parking lot. ••
