La Famiglia dei Fratelli, a fraternal organization, last week made its annual memorial fund donation to the FOP’s Police Survivors Fund.

Tony Coco, president of the organization, presented FOP president John McNesby with a check for $1,500.

The fund was established in 2012 in memory of Police Officer Christopher M. Tancredi, a charter member of La Famiglia who served the 15th District.

The donation is made each year in the name of a 15th Police District officer who embodies the values of both community service and building relationships within the community. This year, La Famiglia made the donation in the name of Officer Edward Seislove.

“He’s an outstanding officer. He’s a family man and is dedicated to the job,” said Ray Tancredi, father of Christopher and founder of La Famiglia.

Seislove formerly worked for Ray Tancredi at the Rite Aid at Frankford Avenue and Levick Street.

Seislove was selected by Capt. John Walker, commander of the 15th, and community relations officer Rachael Mahoney.

La Famiglia has donated more than $10,000 over the years to the survivors fund.

La Famiglia will continue its charitable efforts on Thursday night, when it prepares 1,000 meals for Caring for Friends. ••
