Batting with the 8th

Sixteen teams participated in the tournament.

Sixteen teams competed Friday night in the Batting with the 8th District wiffle ball tournament at Liberty Bell Youth Organization, 3295 Red Lion Road.

The 8th Police District and 8th PDAC organized the event, which featured music, children’s tattoos, a police helicopter flyover, the national anthem in front of a flag on a Thackray crane and food donated by Mission BBQ. Teams consisted of police officers, the Knights of Columbus and community members.

State Rep. Ed Neilson donated the wiffle balls and bats. ••
