Tricks are for Thor

Thor is a young pit bull mix who is residing at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, 111 W. Hunting Park Ave., after being surrendered by his owners.

The dog wants a new home with a soft, warm bed and a family to snuggle with and call his own.

Thor knows a few tricks and commands such as “sit,” “paw,” “other paw” and “high five.”

Families should bring any other dogs and children before adopting Thor.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Greta the Great

Greta’s family moved, and now this 3-year-old female cat needs a new home. She likes other cats, but has never met dogs.

The cat is available for adoption at the Women’s Humane Society, at 3839 Richlieu Road in Bensalem. Her tag number is 3081.

Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Little Foot wants to step into your life

Little Foot is a 3-year-old female tortoiseshell cat available for adoption at the Northeast Animal Rescue.

The cat was surrendered to Northeast Animal Rescue due to financial reasons. She is very sweet, gets along with other cats and loves to sleep with her foster mom at night. She is missing her left hind leg but gets around the house just fine. She is up to date on shots and spayed, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Camry is the cat’s meow

Camry is a beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell female cat believed to be 2 or 3 years old.

The cat was found wandering outside, meowing to be let into any home. She is social, loves to walk around the house and enjoys a sun bath by the window. Camry is spayed and vaccinated and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses. She’s in foster care via Forgotten Cats.
