The suspect targeted banks in Mayfair and Bustleton the morning of July 9.
The FBI and PPD Violent Crimes Task Force are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who targeted two Northeast Philadelphia banks the morning of July 9.
The suspect entered the BB&T Bank located at 6633 Roosevelt Blvd. at 10:35 a.m. and verbally demanded money from the teller. He fled the scene in a red SUV without receiving any money.
Police say the suspect then entered the Firstrust Bank branch located at 9309 Krewstown Road approximately 25 minutes later. He again verbally demanded money from a teller, this time receiving an undisclosed amount. He fled for the strip mall parking lot and left the area in the red SUV.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30s standing between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 with a thin build. He was wearing a camouflage jacket or sweatshirt, black shorts, a white baseball cap with an “A” on it and white safety glasses.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information should contact the FBI or Violent Crimes Task Force by calling 215–418–4000. There is a reward for information leading to the suspect’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
