With the Super Bowl 2025 almost upon us, it’s time to do what I do every year: Determine the hottest Super Bowl picks and predictions. I aced most bets last year, so let’s see what I can come up with this time around.

Are the Chiefs or Eagles favored to win the Super Bowl? What’s a good Super Bowl spread bet, and who will anyone besides Patrick Mahomes win the MVP? These are just a few of the questions I’ll be answering today.

I’ll also review the top-rated Super Bowl betting sites, where you can claim a bumper welcome bonus and bet on the biggest sporting event of the year. Here’s a sneak peek of the winners, while I’ll review and analyze them down below.

NFL Super Bowl Predictions

Now that we’re a little more than a week away from Super Bowl Sunday, I’ve spent the last few analyzing the stats and standout performances of this season. Here are my predictions based on who’s hot and who’s got the momentum as we gear up for the big game.

Mahomes Over 29.5 Rushing Yards (-125) – Bet at BetOnline

I love prop bets because it doesn’t matter which team wins or loses – you could still win your bet. BetOnline was — as usual — one of the first to release their 2025 Super Bowl odds, and their lines are usually among the best in the business.

Personally, I like to place a moneyline bet on the Super Bowl, but I also like to complement it with some props – and I like the look of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes to record over 29.5 rushing yards, which is currently available at (-127).

In the playoffs, Mahomes averaged 28.5 rushing yards, up by 9 on his regular season average. He’d need to go slightly above that for this bet to cash, but the Eagles have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. This suggests to me that, with his battered receiving corps struggling to get open, he is going to run the ball a lot in the Super Bowl.

When it comes to the first touchdown, you can currently bet on Saquon Barkley (+375) or Jalen Hurts (+600) as the first touchdown scorer for the Eagles.

With Barkley’s explosive ability and Hurts’ strength in goal-line situations (including the infamous “Tush Push”), either could be a strong play. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce (+830) is an interesting option for the Chiefs, given his chemistry with Patrick Mahomes in the red zone.

Total Points: Under 49.0 (-105) – Bet at Bovada

While I like the under regardless here, this recommendation comes with a pretty big caveat that I’ll get to shortly.

The under has been a solid Super Bowl of late, with teams failing to exceed the total in 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls. Granted, the one exception was the last Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl, which saw a whopping 73 points scored, but the point remains.

Both the Eagles and Chiefs have gone under more often than not this season (55% and 57% of the time, respectively). Also, for all the attention their various offensive weapons receive, the teams have two of the stingiest defenses in the league, with Philly surrendering 17.8 PPG and the Chiefs 19.2 PPG.

So what’s the caveat? Historically speaking, bettors love to chase the over, so expect this line to move a bit as we get closer to kickoff. If you wait a bit, you might see this line move up a point or two, giving you some valuable breathing room.

Super Bowl MVP Prediction: Xavier Worthy (+2400) – Bet at BetWhale

Let’s be real here: it’s overwhelmingly likely that one of the QBs will win this award. A quarterback has been named Super Bowl MVP in 7 of the last 10 games, with Mahomes accounting for three of those himself (and a different Philly QB, Nick Foles, winning one of the others).

The problem with this is that Vegas is well aware of it. The odds for both QBs are dismally low, with Mahomes sitting at (+100) and Hurts clocking in at (+300). While the Hurts line is worth considering, this is one area in which I like to take a calculated risk.

As I mentioned, there have only been three non-QBs to win MVP in the last decade — and two of them were WRs (Julian Edelman and Cooper Kupp). While both of these players are reliable possession receivers, the MVP committee is also swayed by big plays.

There is no one — save Saquon Barkley, who also has short odds at (+250) — who is more capable of delivering flashy plays than Xavier Worthy.

The fastest man in the NFL is uncatchable in the open field, and given the fact that the Eagles will likely try to clamp down on Travis Kelce, Worthy may have several opportunities to break off a big catch-and-run.

Again, this is something of a longshot — but since Worthy’s odds currently sit at (+2400), it’s a longshot that’s worth chasing.

Team to Win the Super Bowl: Kansas City Chiefs (-125) – Bet at EveryGame

No team in NFL history has won the Super Bowl three times on the spin. But can Philly really stop Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs from making history? I don’t see it.

This is a bit of a contrarian pick, as underdogs have covered in 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls. However, this matchup has one of the smallest spreads in the history of the Big Game, as KC is favored by just 1.5 points.

Like most other recent Super Bowls (12 of the last 20 have been one-score games), I expect this one to come down to the wire. A 1.5-point line is basically a pick ‘em, though, and so I’m picking the team that I think is simply better: the Chiefs.

A lot of money is going on the Philadelphia Eagles, who many think will avenge their defeat at the hands of the Chiefs two years ago. And you know what? I get it. Kellen Moore isn’t the Saints coach yet, and offensively, the Birds look sharp.

However, at the end of the day, you want your money to be on the team with the best QB — and ever since a certain #12 retired, the best QB in the world has played for Kansas City.

Kendrick Lamar’s Opening Song: “Humble” (-175) – Bet at SportsBetting.ag

Kendrick Lamar has been confirmed as Super Bowl 59’s half-time show. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to bet on.

As things stand, I like the look of Humble at (-175) as a solid pick for his opening number. It’s one of his biggest hits, and it was his second-ever US billboard number 1. I can definitely see him leading with it.

That all said, don’t take my word for gospel – I’m not a massive music fan, and I’m getting my info from my nephew. He knows his stuff.

Taylor Swift Shown Over 6.5 Times on TV (+125) – Bet at BetOnline

Last year, BetOnline.ag famously created 89 Taylor Swift prop bets for Super Bowl LVIII.

This time around, they released 13 on Thursday morning as a teaser (I predict there will be many, many more) – and this was my favorite pick of the bunch.

Other bet worth of mention is Travis Kelce to propose to Taylor Swift after the game at +550 (hey, I can’t help it; I’m also a hopeless romantic.)

Best Super Bowl Betting Sites

In order to bet on the Super Bowl, you need to sign up at the best betting sites that have competitive NFL Super Bowl odds. Here are the top 5:

1. BetOnline – Best Super Bowl Betting Site Overall

BetOnline Sports

Pros:

  • $250 welcome bonus with no WR
  • Same game parlays
  • Parlay boosts
  • Early lines for various sports
  • Hosts exciting NFL betting contests

Cons:

  • No alternative lines
  • Fees on fiat payouts

BetOnline is my top pick for Super Bowl betting. Throughout the regular season and into the Wild Card Weekend and beyond, you can take advantage of parlay boosts, pre-selected parlays that come with enhanced odds – and same-game parlays.

I’m personally partial to placing the same game parlays, which, for me, is the best way to bet on the Super Bowl. At BetOnline, you can mix and match your picks, adding player specials to the same bet as a moneyline pick.

>> Bet on Chiefs winning the Super Bowl (-127) at BetOnline <<

For those looking to go beyond standard moneyline and spread bets, BetOnline also offers a range of exciting Super Bowl props.

You can bet on everything from game-related props like total turnovers (O/U 2.5) and total sacks (O/U 4.5) to unique player bets, such as Patrick Mahomes passing yards (O/U 253.5) and Jalen Hurts rushing yards (O/U 40.5).

If entertainment props are more your thing, BetOnline has released some of the most talked-about novelty bets for this year’s Super Bowl.

With 13 Taylor Swift-related wagers available, you can bet on how many times she’ll appear on screen (O/U 6.5) or even whether Travis Kelce will propose after the game (+550).

A slight drawback is that BetOnline doesn’t offer alternative lines, which doesn’t give you much wiggle room if you want to place a spread bet or a total bet. However, you can turn your bets into teasers and bets here.

You can also enter betting contests, including a $25,000 NFL Pick’em contest and a $200,000 NFL Mega Contest. Some of these contests require a fee, but many are free to enter.

For those who love the history of the Super Bowl, BetOnline also offers record-breaking props, including whether any player will surpass 506 passing yards (+5000) or rush for more than 205 yards (+1100).

Before any of that, you can claim $250 worth of bonus bets as a new player here, with the minimum deposit set at just $50 and absolutely no wagering requirements.

2. Bovada – Best Super Bowl Betting Site for Parlays

Bovada Sports

Pros:

  • 75% up to $750 welcome bonus
  • Unique Props Builder tool
  • Reduced juice offer
  • Excellent rewards program with great prizes
  • NFL weekly specials

Cons:

  • Late betting lines
  • Homepage is a bit cluttered

Bovada is my go-to sportsbook for NFL parlays. Not only does it offer a strong selection of parlay options, but it also has some of the best specials I’ve seen. These include each of the 2 finalists to score a touchdown, 4+ touchdowns combined, and a heap of player-specific bets.

You can get started with a 75% up to $750 welcome bonus, which means you’ll get $100 worth of bonus funds for the Super Bowl if you deposit $75. The minimum deposit for this offer is $20.

You can then bet on the MVP, with Bovada offering Patrick Mahomes at (+115), while other bets include Coach of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year. Chiefs are currently priced as the (-125) favorites – they have the best odds to win the Super Bowl.

>> Bet on Patrick Mahomes to win MVP (+115) at Bovada <<

Bovada has an in-depth Props Builder tool that lets you explore the team, game, and player props market, thereby giving you more choice over how you bet.

And while there’s no reload bonus here, Bovada makes up for it with a 200% up to $200 referral bonus. You’ll also earn reward points anytime you bet on the NFL or any other sport, with more points given out for parlays.

Betwhale Sports

Pros:

  • 150% welcome bonus
  • Cashback for loyal players
  • High bet limits
  • Mobile-friendly sportsbook
  • 24/7 customer support

Cons:

  • High minimum withdrawal
  • No props

If you’re planning to be a regular NFL bettor online, BetWhale’s loyalty program is one of the best ways to make your wagers count for something over the long term. The more you deposit and bet, the more you’ll get rewarded.

I’ve tested this site extensively, and its loyalty program is one of the easiest to join. Once you’re in, you’ll be treated to regular cashback and a range of exclusive bonuses that make you feel welcome.

When it comes to betting on the Super Bowl, you can place moneyline, handicap, and total bets, as well as explore alternative lines. You can bet pre-game and in-play, as well as turn your bets into parlays.

BetWhale – which has high bet limits – also gives you the option of placing Round Robin bets, which come in handy during the regular NFL season. A lack of props might be an issue for some bettors. But if you’re the kind of NFL bettor who prefers to stick to traditional markets, BetWhale has everything you need.

4. EveryGame – Reduced Juice on Super Bowl Betting

Everygame Sports

  • Special Super Bowl promotions
  • Huge range of NFL futures bets
  • Game props available for the Super Bowl
  • 30+ years experience
  • Weekly betting contests

Cons:

  • Limited withdrawal methods
  • No same game parlays

EveryGame is one of the world’s oldest online sportsbooks. With more than 30 years of experience, it’s no wonder that NFL bettors like myself trust it with their Super Bowl bets.

I could lock in DeVonta Smith to win the MVP at the best price I’ve seen (+6600), while prior to the Super Bowl itself, there are always excellent odds available here for conference winners.

Even better, this online gambling site releases its futures odds super early, giving you enough time to place your bets before the price changes.

EveryGame offers exciting props, including total touchdowns, the highest-scoring quarter, and a score in the final 2 minutes. A top player prop is who will make the longest reception, with A.J. Brown (+450) leading, followed by Xavier Worthy and DeVonta Smith (+600).

>> Bet on A.J. Brown to make the longest reception (+450) at EveryGame <<

For this year’s Super Bowl, EveryGame is running a special promotion, offering a 100% deposit bonus of up to $400 (redeemable twice). Plus, for every dollar wagered on the Super Bowl, you’ll get an extra ticket for a $10K prize draw, where 20 lucky winners will score $500 in cash.

Aside from special Super Bowl offers, there’s of course a welcome bonus. You can do what I did and claim a $500 welcome bonus if you’re playing with fiat currency, or you can opt-in to a bigger $1,000 welcome bonus if you’re playing with crypto.

5. SportsBetting.ag – Best for Live Super Bowl Betting

Sportsbetting Sports

Pros:

  • 50% up to $500 welcome bonus
  • $100 risk-free live bet
  • Competitive in play NFL odds
  • Weekly reload bonuses
  • 25+ years experience

Cons:

  • Can’t withdraw via credit card
  • No VIP program

There’s no doubt that I’ll be betting on the Super Bowl in play. And from what I’ve seen, SportsBetting.ag has all the tools needed for a top Super Bowl live betting experience.

New players can get a 50% up to $500 welcome bonus, but the real standout is the $100 risk-free live bet you can place on the Super Bowl. To claim it, you need to place an initial $100 bet in play. If it loses, you’ll get a second chance.

Fun fact: SportsBetting.ag is also one of the best sites for sports betting in California!

There’s also a $100 risk-free player prop bet up for grabs here, which can also be used on the Super Bowl. In terms of the live betting 2025 Super Bowl odds, you can bet on the moneyline, the point spread, and the totals in-play, with SportsBetting.ag also offering competitive odds for each quarter and half.

Beyond live betting, SportsBetting.ag features some interesting props. You can bet on whether both teams will make a 33-yard or longer field goal, with ‘Yes’ sitting at -125 and ‘No’ at -105. Given the reliability of kickers like Harrison Butker and Jake Elliott, this bet offers solid value if you expect a kicking battle.

>> Bet on both teams making a 33-yard or longer field goal (-125) at SportsBetting.ag <<

If there’s a downside, it’s that there is no VIP or loyalty program here. You can, however, claim regular reload bonuses each week, which is a great way of staying in the game.

Super Bowl Picks and Predictions – FAQs

Who Is Favored To Win the Super Bowl 2025?

The Kansas City Chiefs are the Super Bowl favorites at (-125) with several online sportsbooks.

They’re also favored by 1.5 points at most bookies, which is one of the closest point spreads in Super Bowl history.

Who is Playing in Super Bowl LIX?

The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs will try for a record-setting third straight NFL championship, while the Philadelphia Eagles will try to win for the second time this decade. These two teams previously faced off two years ago, with the Chiefs narrowly edging the Eagles by a score of 38-35.

Patrick Mahomes is the (+110) favorite at most online betting sites, while Saquon Barkley is typically available at (+250).

What Types of Super Bowl Bets Can I Place?

There are a number of Super Bowl bets you can place, including backing a team to win on the moneyline or backing a team to beat the spread.

You can also bet on whether you think there will be over or under X number of total points in the Super Bowl, and you can bet on who you think will win a specific quarter or half.

Props bets are available, too, including which player will score the first touchdown and which half will have the most points.

What is the Best Super Bowl Prediction for 2025?

While the winner is still largely up in the air, the chances of Patrick Mahomes clinching a fourth Super Bowl MVP are incredibly high. He’s been the frontrunner all season, a fact that hasn’t changed as the season reaches its close.

He’s engineered a number of crucial touchdowns all season long, and he seems almost a shoo-in at (+110). Of course, those odds aren’t the most generous, but that just reflects how likely Vegas thinks it is that Mahomes will take home the hardware again this year.
