Father Judge’s Bill Fox Jr. 6th Man Club on Sunday held its seventh Basketball Hall of Honor ceremony, and first since 2015.

Honorees were Frank Ciurlino (class of 1977), Al Clancy (‘75), Francis Gavaghan (‘78), Charlie Liddell (‘72), Michael Pidhirsky (‘99) and the 2000-01 team that won the Catholic League Northern Division with a 13-1 record.

The event took place in the Sprinkler Fitters Local 692 Emerald Ballroom. The emcee was Mike Gibson, with Brother Jim Williams offering prayer and current coach Chris Roantree offering remarks. Some of the members of this season’s team were among the 200 or so guests.

The 2000-01 team was coached by Bill Fox, who died in July 2021 of Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Fox will be featured in the film Legends of Solly Avenue, which will be shown on Nov. 23 in the Judge auditorium. Also featured in the film will be former Judge football coach Whitey Sullivan and former Judge baseball coach Joe McDermott. Proceeds from the premiere showing will benefit the ALS Foundation and the Crusader Campaign Annual Appeal. ••
