A shooting inside a Mayfair house spilled into the surrounding community early Saturday when a critically wounded man stumbled to Frankford and Robbins avenues before collapsing.
Patrol officers found the bleeding 34-year-old victim in the street at the busy intersection shortly before 1:30 a.m. He had wounds of the left thigh and lower back and was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale.
Philadelphia police have not released his identity in keeping with their policy of not disclosing the names of surviving crime victims, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a department spokeswoman.
Witnesses told investigators that the gunfire occurred in a house on the 3100 block of Levick St. and resulted from an unspecified argument between the victim and another man, neither of whom lived at the address.
The shooter has been described as a black man, about 20-years-old, 5-feet-11-inches tall and thin with a dark complexion and Sunni-style beard. He wore a green T-shirt and blue jeans. ••
