Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man inside a car in Bustleton on Tuesday.
As the Times went to press, police had identified the victim only as a man about 25 to 30 years of age.
Officers arrived at the 2300 block of Tremont St., outside the Plaza Tower Apartments, at 6:44 a.m., when they found the victim sitting inside a black BMW convertible coupe. He had gunshot wounds of the neck and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene within minutes, said Officer Christine O’Brien, a police spokeswoman.
The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s and standing about 5-feet-8-inches tall. He wore a red hoodie sweatshirt and khaki pants. He may have fled in a teal-colored vehicle.
