Man and teen wounded in Frankford drive-by shooting

Two pedestrians were wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting in Frankford on Aug. 23.

The victims included a 30-year-old man who was shot in the right foot and a 16-year-old boy who was shot once in the leg.

Both were hospitalized and are expected to survive their wounds.

Witnesses and the victims reported that gunfire erupted just after midnight on the 5200 block of Marlowe St. and originated from an older model BMW with a black cloth roof, police said.

A male allegedly pointed a gun from a window of the moving vehicle and opened fire on the victims.

The shooter was described as black and stocky, wearing a blue jacket with a yellow stripe down the sleeve.

No description of the weapon was available.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The older one was treated at Aria Health-Frankford and released, police said.

The teen victim was taken in stable condition to Hahnemann University hospital.

His current condition is not known. ••
