The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detectives Division is seeking the public’s help in locating the following most-wanted suspects in connection with crimes in the Northeast:
• Timothy Hackett, 30, of the 2300 block of Hoffnagle St., for robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and related offenses.
On Sept. 3, Hackett allegedly broke into a house on the 2300 block of Hoffnagle St. beat a man in the face and stole a set of car keys belonging to a second victim, who is female. When the male victim followed Hackett outside, a second unknown person attacked and robbed him of $30 and a mobile telephone, police said. The two assailants then stole the female victim’s car.
Hackett is also known to frequent the area of Richmond and Tioga streets. He is white, 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has blue eyes, red or auburn hair and has tattoos on his upper right arm, both forearms, left chest, left hand and the back of his neck.
• Brian Harris, 22, of the 2200 block of Kennedy St., for aggravated assault, trespassing and related offenses.
On Aug. 10 at about 4:45 p.m., Harris allegedly entered the home of a woman in violation of a protection-from-abuse order and attacked the woman by grabbing her by the neck and choking her. Harris fled before police arrived at the scene.
Harris is black, 6 feet tall and weighs 290 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
• Daniel Houser, 21, of the 2100 block of Borbeck Ave., for burglary, aggravated assault and related offenses.
On July 27 at about 2:50 a.m., Houser allegedly entered the home of a man on the 2000 block of Disston St. via the back door and beat the resident with a baseball bat before fleeing. The victim was hospitalized for undisclosed injuries.
Houser is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
• Jose Rivera, 37, of the 8100 block of Ditman St., for attempted murder, aggravated assault, weapons violations and related offenses.
On Aug. 30 at about 7:40 p.m., Rivera and another man were on the 8100 block of Ditman St. when they began to quarrel. Rivera allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the other man once in an undisclosed part of the victim’s body. The wound was not fatal.
Rivera is also known by the nickname “Smurf” and is considered armed and dangerous. He is Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both upper arms.
• John Torpey, 35, of the 4200 block of Loring St., for burglary, trespassing and theft.
On Aug. 7, Torpey allegedly broke into a home on the 7200 block of Algard St. The resident was asleep at the time, but awoke later to discover that several undisclosed items had been stolen. Witnesses saw Torpey allegedly exiting the rear of the house at about 2 a.m. carrying a backpack.
Torpey is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both forearms. Call Northeast Detectives at 215–686–3153 or dial 911 to report information about any of the suspects. ••
