Authorities have not determined the official cause of death of a man whose body was dumped along the 6400 block of Cottage St. on Sept. 23, although a suspect has been questioned in the case.
Police went to the scene at 4:05 p.m. in response to a report of a “hospital case.” They found the 42-year-old man unconscious. He was taken to Aria Health-Torresdale and pronounced dead.
There were no obvious signs of trauma. His name has not been released.
Witnesses told police that someone had driven the body to the scene shortly before police were notified. Detectives located and questioned the driver but have not filed criminal charges against him.
An official cause of death remains under investigation by the medical examiner’s office. ••
