The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detectives Division is seeking the public’s help in locating the following most-wanted suspects in connection with crimes in the Northeast:
• Troy Lewis, 37, of the 2600 block of N. 13th St., for escape from custody.
On April 4, Lewis was an inmate at a Philadelphia prison facility with the privilege of work release. After leaving the facility that day, he was to return there by 6 p.m. but he did not return, according to police.
Lewis is black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 220 pounds. He as black hair and brown eyes.
• Gerald Johnson, 31, of the 5000 block of Ditman St., for robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and related charges.
Johnson allegedly assaulted and stole $360 from a female acquaintance. Police did not specify a date or location of the crime. The victim reported that she exited the shower in her home to find Johnson in the bathroom. Johnson then choked her, she said, and later pried the cash from the woman’s hand by bending her fingers awkwardly. The status of her injuries, if any, are unknown.
Johnson is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a name tattooed on his left shoulder.
• Marcio D. Pinto, 36, of the 6600 block of Lynford St., for forgery, theft and related charges.
On Jan. 11, a man reported to police that he was expecting to receive a check in the mail for $2,680, but he had never received it. After contacting the payer, the victim learned that the check had been cashed on Dec. 29 at a Wachovia Bank branch.
The victim contacted the bank and eventually viewed a video of the transaction, which allegedly showed his neighbor, Pinto, cashing the check in question.
No photo is available of Pinto because he has no prior arrests and no drivers license photo on file with the state, police said. He is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds.
• Jose (a.k.a. Raul) Rivera, 47, of the 200 block of E. Sommerville Ave., for burglary, trespassing, theft and related charges.
On Sept. 7, a man returned to his home on the 4600 block of Castor Ave. to find a van parked at the rear of the property. When the resident called out, an unknown man emerged from the breezeway of the residence. That man and a woman companion entered the van and left the scene, but not before the resident was able to reach into the van and grabbed a wallet from the console. The wallet contained Rivera’s identification, police said.
During a subsequent inspection of his home, the resident found that several TVs and numerous other items had been stolen.
Rivera is Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 230 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his chest, stomach and both arms.
• Fajri Warfield, 18, of the 600 block of Wallace St., for burglary, trespassing, theft and related charges.
Warfield has been identified as one of two suspects in the Sept. 23 burglary of a house on the 5800 block of Oakland St. Warfield is black, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
