The Northeast Philadelphia History Network will present the third annual Northeast Philadelphia HistoryFaire on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Campus Center of Holy Family University, at Frankford and Grant avenues.
The public is invited to attend. Admission is free. There is plenty of free, off-street parking.
Historical societies and community organizations will display and discuss the history of Northeast neighborhoods. The Friends of Lower Dublin Academy will hold a historical-book sale.
The day will also include live bluegrass music, an audio-video presentation and an outdoor blacksmithing demonstration by Bob Herrmann and Civil War re-enactment.
The Northeast Philadelphia History Network meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Pennepack Baptist Church, at 8732 Krewstown Road.
