Chiropractor charged with sexual assault

A Somerton chiropractor was ordered last Thursday to stand trial on charges he sexually assaulted a 69-year-old female patient last summer.

Municipal Courty Judge Patrick F. Dugan ordered that Christopher Walcott, 43, of Yardley, Bucks County, stand trial for aggravated assault and indecent assault, while dismissing a lesser charge of simple assault in connection with the alleged July 30 violation.

According to authorities, the victim was a patient of Walcott’s at the Advanced Wellness Center of PA at 14260 Bustleton Ave. The woman testified at last week’s hearing that she had visited the center numerous times, and went there on July 28 seeking relief of hip and groin pain.

She returned for treatment two days later and, while she lay partly clothed, Walcott massaged her with a vibrator. During the treatment, the chiropractor allegedly placed his fingers under her garments and touched her genitals.

The woman testified that she instructed Walcott to remove his hand, then he apologized and offered her free treatments. She refused and reported the incident to police.

The district attorney’s office approved charges on Sept. 21. Walcott was arrested on Sept. 22 and is free on $35,000 bail while continuing to practice.

Walcott has denied the accusations and is scheduled for a Common Pleas Court arraignment on Dec. 22. ••
