Miko wants a home

Miko is a gorgeous Labrador retriever/terrier mix who was found as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia. He is available for adoption at the Animal Care and Control shelter, 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. The dog is a friendly, lovable big boy who would love to find a home before Christmas. He gets along with other dogs, and though he showed some interest in cats, wasn’t aggressive, just curious.

Miko weighs about 70 pounds and can be strong on the leash, but with some training will quickly learn how to walk like a gentleman.

Miko’s coat is super soft and will provide years of great cuddling with this sweet, eager-to-please boy. ••

Hop to the Bunny

Bunny is a female dwarf rabbit in need of a home.

The rabbit is available for adoption at the Women’s Humane Society, at 3839 Richlieu Road, Bensalem. Her tag number is H366521.

Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Lightning, a cat who appeared in a recent edition of the Times, has been adopted.

Call 215–750–3100 or visit www.whspets.org ••

Farrah is an angel

Farrah is a gorgeous gray/white long-haired female cat available for adoption at the Northeast Animal Rescue.

She loves catnip and playing with toys. She would do best as an only cat. She is up to date on shots and spayed, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

Anyone interested in adopting Farrah can visit the Northeast Animal Rescue, located inside the PetSmart at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., or fill out an application at nar.rescuegroups.org ••

Dexter needs security

Dexter is a 5-year-old orange tabby that was abandoned. The poor boy lived outside for three months until being rescued. Dexter gets along with other cats after a proper introduction and would be OK with children, but he has not been exposed to dogs yet.

Dexter is neutered, vaccinated, felv and fiv negative and micro-chipped. He’s in foster care via Forgotten Cats. FC provides sterilization assistance for homeless felines. Apply at www.petfinder.com/shelters/PA586.html or apply at the adoption center in PetSmart at 901 Old York Road in Abington. ••
