Gunmen sought in fatal shooting

Philadelphia police are hunting for two gunmen who allegedly shot a Frankford man fatally in the head near Bridge Street and Torresdale Avenue last Wednesday evening.

Homicide detectives have not disclosed a motive in the slaying or how they identified the suspects. James Brooks, 22, of the 2000 block of Haworth St. or the 1900 block of Pacific St., and Tyrone Jefferson, 18, of the 2100 block of Wakeling St., are considered armed and dangerous and remain at large.

Patrol officers went to the crime scene on the 2000 block of Bridge St. just after 7:30 p.m. and found Quadir Bush, 32, of the 2000 block of Brill St., lying in the street with multiple wounds of the forehead. He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and pronounced dead at about 8 p.m.

Brooks is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Jefferson is black, 6 feet 4 inches tall and 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, along with a prominent scar on the outside of his right leg, just above the ankle.
