The Joseph C. “Goople” McCloskey Charitable Fund will hold a beef-and-beer fund-raiser on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 39 hall at 7229 Tulip St.
The cost is $25 and includes food, beer, wine, soda, music and door prizes.
Proceeds will go to a fund in memory of McCloskey, the longtime head of the Police Athletic League organization in Tacony. Supporters hope to build a bust of him and contribute to Tacony youths who excel in athletics, school and the community.
