Tire slashers hit Holmesburg

Philadelphia police detectives are investigating another tire-slashing case in Holmesburg.

The vandalism occurred last Wednesday on the 7300 block of Erdrick St. and was reported to police on Friday. Two cars were involved, said Capt. Frank Bachmayer, commander of the 15th Police District.

Police don’t know if there’s a connection to two earlier episodes of tire-slashing. On Feb. 13, tires were punctured on at least seven cars along the 4000 block of Aldine St. Six days later, 18 cars were similarly vandalized along the 4000 block of Aldine St. and the 4000 block of Teesdale St.

No arrests have been made. ••
