A Frankford man arrived at a neighborhood hospital with critical gunshot wounds following a March 27 shooting in a street near his home.
The 33-year-old victim, whose identity has not been released, had wounds of the abdomen, mouth and buttocks when he showed up at Aria Health-Frankford at 8:17 p.m., Philadelphia police said.
The gunfire occurred a short time earlier on the 1800 block of Pear St. After the apparent ambush, the wounded man ran to his home on the 1700 block of Orthodox St., where a relative picked him up and took him to the hospital.
Police reportedly found shell casings and a bullet where the gunfire occurred but they don’t know the motive and don’t have a description of a suspect. ••
