Burholme bandit still at large

Philadelphia police and the FBI seek the public’s help in identifying an unknown man who robbed the Citizens Bank branch at 7248 Rising Sun Ave. in Burholme last Thursday.

The suspect entered the bank at 12:13 p.m., presented a threatening demand note to a teller, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled south on Oxford Avenue, said authorities, who did not specify if he fled on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches or 5 feet 6 inches tall and thin or medium build. He had a moustache and full beard and wore sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a black coat with an orange liner and fur-trimmed hood.

Citizens who see this man should not approach him. He is considered armed and dangerous. Tipsters should call 215–686-TIPS or 215–418–4000. In an emergency, dial 911. ••
