Parkwood teen critical after stabbing

A Parkwood teenager remained hospitalized in critical condition on Tuesday, a week after he was stabbed repeatedly in the neighborhood.

The attack occurred on the 12900 block of Medford Road, a residential area adjacent to Poquessing Valley Park, when an unknown male punched, slashed and stabbed the 17-year-old victim in the stomach, chest and neck, said Officer Jillian Russell, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

Authorities did not identify the victim publicly. He is being treated at Aria Health-Torresdale.

The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 210 pounds or “chubby.” He had a short afro haircut and wore a black hoodie, along with black pants. He may use the nickname “Pro.”

No motive was reported.
