Cherish your Liberty

Liberty is a pretty, sweet, 4-year-old female dog who was surrendered by her owners because of landlord issues.

The dog weighs about 45 pounds and appears to be housebroken. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She knows commands such as “sit,” “paw” and “down.” She loves being in the company of people and likes to be petted.

Liberty is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. Her tag number is A16012046. Anyone interested in adopting or fostering her can bring their family, especially dogs and kids under 12, to meet her.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Little Debbie, big purr

Little Debbie is a young, petite, female silver tortoiseshell cat. She is in foster care via Forgotten Cats.

The cat is very affectionate and has a big purr. She prefers to be the only kitty in the house.

Little Debbie is spayed and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Easygoing Emily

Emily is a 1-year-old rabbit who likes children..

The rabbit is available for adoption at the Women’s Humane Society, at 3839 Richlieu Road in Bensalem. Her tag number is H37349–2.

Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Daisy, the cat profiled in last week’s Times, remains available for adoption.

Ensign is a 16-month-old cat who was found outdoors, abandoned in an apartment complex during a trap-neuter-release project. He was hungry and thin.

Today, he is eating well. He loves catnip toys and sleeping on laps. He is fine with other cats, but is not fond of dogs. He would love to have a permanent home.

Ensign is neutered and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
