Police probe fatal shooting in Frankford

Gunfire on a Frankford street corner claimed the life of a Germantown man on June 12.

Police were called to the 4700 block of Griscom St. at 6:51 p.m. in response to a report of a shooting. They found Diamond Brown, 22, with a single wound of the neck, said Officer Jillian Russell, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

Brown, of the 200 block of W. Queen Lane, was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:07 p.m.

Investigators have no suspects and are not sure of the motive, Russell said. A description of the gunman was not released. ••
